If your kids love being around others, are extroverted or have never met a stranger, a career in service could be a great match. There are tons of different jobs within the service industry, which can match up with a variety of other interests. Specialty skills can range from math to style to organization to communication. The common thread in service jobs is the ability and eagerness to interact with and help customers.
People in the service industry touch our lives almost every day. From retail workers and hair stylists to travel professionals and truck drivers, service employees (and business owners!) help in ways big and small. As you encounter various people in this field, encourage your child to ask questions about what they do.
