"College graduates in the U.S. are staggering under $1.5 trillion in student loans — triple the level of student debt 10 years ago. By contrast, plumbers, electricians and other tradespeople typically start their careers with little or no debt. Yet a TD Ameritrade survey shows that 'only a small subset' of teens entering the workforce even think about trades."
