M01C Assembly Mechanic – Fuselage

May perform all functions of a process mechanic or perform gas/electric welding of various metals and metal alloys to create experimental and production parts and assemblies. Performs complete inspection of procured or fabricated parts and assemblies. Initiates and documents any non-conforming condition for Material Review Board action. Performs process surveillance to assure compliance with requirements. Prepares and maintains quality records. Establishes and performs steel heat treat operations to harden, case harden, temper, draw, normalize, age, anneal and otherwise heat treat metals in accordance with specifications and procedures. Develops length, location and arrangement of electrical/tubing for production mock-ups or an initial installation of a design change for a production product.
