Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders.
Applies knowledge of engineering and physical science principles, materials, and tools in a collaborative environment to develop, integrate, document and evaluate flight vehicle structure designs for performance, functional adequacy, cost effectiveness, manufacturability, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Areas of expertise may include primary and secondary structure design, payloads design, and lofting.
Develops, coordinates, analyzes and maintains the budget and schedule for projects, which may require communication with other teams. Creates analysis in support of risk assessments and contingency and recovery plans, and makes recommendations. Communicates with customers on a variety of issues. Runs reports to ensure accurate cost collection. Reconciles data discrepancies and corrects errors. Develops, integrates, analyzes and updates forecasts for a statement of work or team. Documents requirements for training, processes and new tool development or enhancement.
Coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, and supply teams to develop and guide the program manufacturing and tooling plan. Ensures the identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and improves manufacturing processes in support of the type design. Uses process engineering principles and techniques. Develops, establishes, and guides requirements for assembly, tooling simulations, and manufacturing configurations.
Advances technology and manufacturing readiness levels. Develops concepts through initial configuration, prototyping, risk reduction, verification, and validation. Advises on new product configurations with design-for-manufacturing principles. Helps define a technical path to achieve short- and long-term objectives. Develops manufacturing processes and advanced technologies for aerostructures. Writes and reviews test plans and test reports. Provides technical leadership to team of engineers and technicians.
Conducts, manages and maintains flow of a supply chain for obtaining goods and services for the company. Works with internal and external customers and suppliers. Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements. Develops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and awards contracts, and manages post award supplier activities.
Leads efforts in the improvement, implementation and maintenance of all aspects of the information security governance, risk and compliance program to ensure continuous alignment of Global Information Security, IT and our various business units with our varied contractual and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities also include technical leadership and mentorship of the Info Sec GRC team. Assists in conducting risk assessments and reporting as part of the Information Security Risk Management effort.

May perform all functions of a process mechanic or perform gas/electric welding of various metals and metal alloys to create experimental and production parts and assemblies. Performs complete inspection of procured or fabricated parts and assemblies. Initiates and documents any non-conforming condition for Material Review Board action. Performs process surveillance to assure compliance with requirements. Prepares and maintains quality records.
