Creates measurement plans from engineering drawings that use photogrammetry, laser trackers, articulating arms, or other metrology 3-D instruments to measure assemblies and subassemblies. Uses computer-aided designs (CAD) graphic user interface software for design. Sets up and operates 3-D metrology instruments to check overall and detailed alignment, fit, or adjustment of assemblies. Develops training for performing 3-D measurements. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products.

Assembles and performs functional tests and inspections of parts and assemblies into end-items, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established processes and procedures, to assure the timely delivery of quality products to the customer. Gathers required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, verbal and electronic information. Uses shop mathematics and precision measuring and or test instruments to complete work assignments and functional test assemblies and components.

Provides technical assistance and support to end users of IT delivery system hardware, software, and networks (voice, video, and data) to resolve end-user computing problems. Works directly with an identified subset of end-users, specifically the company executives and their office administrators, providing guidance on effective use of delivery systems products and services.

Analyzes and designs operational steps and workflows to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts. Establishes methods for maximum productivity and optimization of product flow. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
